Description
[edit | edit source]The Priest-Emperors were the Envoys of Light, who reigned as emperors over the Middenrealm between 335 and 465 b. FB. This era is therefore also called "Age of the Priest-Emperors". They are usually associated with pompous buildings of the Praios church and fanatical excrescences of faith in Praios, for example the bloody persecution of witches and votaries of Rondra.
Their reign began with the Harvest Feast Massacre and ended with the banishment of the Priest-Emperors by Rohal the Wise.

Earthly Affairs
[edit | edit source]In publications of TDE4 the used term is Priest-Kings. Since the German Priesterkaiser rather refers to an emperor, the translation was changed in later publications.
