Description
[edit | edit source]The Zahori are a nomadic culture, whose members are mainly found in Almada. All their possessions are stored on covered wagons or pack animals. Because of their ownerless lifestyle, the Zahori often face prejudice and hostility. They are known for their love of music and horses, as well as the art of inrah and fortune-telling, which is why 'Zahori' is often used as a synonym for 'soothsayer' and 'sorcerer' in Almadan.
Appearance
[edit | edit source]They have a darker skin tone, black and dark brown hair and eyes as well as sharp facial features and narrow, distinctive noses. They prefer colorful clothing.
Language
[edit | edit source]Zahorish is a dialect of Tulamidya.
Arts and Entertainment
[edit | edit source]The Zahori have a particular love of music and dance, especially the Zahori dance Lamento.
Distribution
[edit | edit source]Mainly in the south-central part of the continent, primarily in Almada and the Horasian Empire.

- As a travelling people, the Zahori are a reference to the earthly Romani, more precisely the Spanish Gitanos, in the sense of a non-settled people.
