Description

[edit | edit source]

A title of a person refers to a formal or honorary designation that indicates the individual's social, professional, or noble standing. Titles are often used to convey authority, respect, or a specific role within a community, organization, or society. They can be inherited, granted, or earned based on achievements, positions, or affiliations. Titles can also be honorifics, either positive (Rohal the Wise; Phileasson, King of the Seas) or negative (Borbarad, the Demonmaster).

Titles often serve to establish a person's identity, rank, status, or qualifications, and the use of titles can vary across cultures, professions, and social contexts.

Titles may vary by region. In Arania the equivalent to a baronesses is the beyrouni. In Tulamidya the emir is equivalent to a count.
