Description
[edit | edit source]The small, somewhat sleepy port of Bethana on the Sea of Seven Winds is believed to be the oldest settlement in the Horasian Empire. According to tradition, settlers from Gyldenland landed here. In 902 b. FB, Saint Bethana rediscovered the ruined altar after a dream vision and founded the temple around which the present town grew, including the headquarters of the Church of Efferd.
Ancient houses still stand in the narrow streets of the old town, while the port area is busier and more spacious. Its special atmosphere attracts bards from all over Aventuria. The annual convention of bards is held here every four years.
